Privacy Policy

Last updated

This policy describes privacy on the A Death in Dobrovny website for author Ted Sink.

Browsing this site

You can browse without an account. This site has no contact forms, newsletter sign-up, or on-site checkout. Its pages, images, and fonts are served directly by this site.

The website does not use cookies or browser storage to track visitors, and has no visitor analytics or advertising pixels. Cloudflare Turnstile loads only when you choose to reveal the contact email.

Technical requests

Loading a page sends technical information, such as your IP address, the requested page, and browser details, to the server delivering the site. A hosting service may keep access or security logs under its own policies.

Email contact

Choose “Reveal email” in the footer to access Ted’s address. Cloudflare Turnstile checks for automated requests before the server releases the address. It processes technical signals such as your IP address, browser information, and the site you are visiting to detect bots and improve its protection. See Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

The reveal sends a verification token to this site’s server, which checks it with Cloudflare. It does not send an email. After verification, the email link opens your email app. If you send a message, Ted and the email services involved receive your address, message, and any attachments.

For privacy questions or to request deletion of correspondence, reveal Ted’s email in the footer. Email correspondence is handled outside this website.

Other websites & purchases

Book purchases take place on Amazon or Books-A-Million. Payment, delivery, and order information you provide there goes to the retailer, rather than through this website.

This site also links to reviews and image sources. When you follow an external link, that website's privacy policy applies. External sites may collect information or use cookies independently of this site.

This policy will be updated if the site's data-handling practices change.
